Powerchip и SBI планируют построить завод по производству микросхем в северной Японии – Nikkei.

Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing, in collaboration with SBI Holdings, is set to invest about 400 billion yen ($2.67 billion) in building a chip plant in Miyagi prefecture, northern Japan. The plant is expected to be operational by 2026. Powerchip had previously narrowed down five potential locations for the plant and was in talks for subsidies to support the project.
