Группа GM Cruise приостанавливает все операции по автономному вождению после запрета в Калифорнии

GM’s driverless car unit, Cruise, has announced that it will suspend all operations nationwide following an order from California regulators to remove its driverless cars from state roads. The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) declared that Cruise’s vehicles posed a risk to public safety and accused the company of misrepresenting the technology’s safety. Cruise stated that it will use this time to examine its processes, systems, and tools in order to rebuild public trust. This suspension is a setback for GM’s self-driving business, which it sees as a major growth opportunity. The decision is unrelated to recent on-road incidents, and supervised autonomous vehicle operations will continue.
