FedEx experienced a system outage that affected its U.S. Express deliveries. The company stated that shipments delayed because of the outage will not be eligible for refunds or credits. The issue was caused by a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) IT outage, which has since been resolved. Potential delays in package deliveries across the U.S. were expected on October 25. Operations at FAA and UPS, FedEx’s competitor, returned to normal.
