Apple’s custom-designed chips have provided its Macs with better battery life and performance compared to machines using Microsoft’s Windows operating system. The competition has led to Qualcomm and Nvidia’s plans to develop Arm-based chips for Windows and enter the PC market. Analysts expect Apple to introduce the M3 chip, manufactured with 3-nanometer technology, focusing primarily on higher-end Mac models used by businesses.
