Tangerine Telecom debuts cricket partnership with Melbourne Renegades

Tangerine Telecom has made its first move into the world of cricket by partnering with the Melbourne Renegades. The sponsorship deal will see the Renegades’ playing kit feature the Tangerine logo on their sleeves for the upcoming season, with Tangerine acting as the exclusive telco category sponsor.

The new playing kit, showcasing the Tangerine logo, will be unveiled during the Renegades’ opening match of WBBL|10 against Sydney Sixers at the Adelaide Oval on 27 October. The team will then play their first home game of the season at CitiPower Centre (Junction Oval) on 2 November, followed by the men’s league starting on 16 December at the SCG before their first home game in Geelong on the 19th.

Players like Sophie Molineux, Georgia Wareham, Tayla Vlaeminck, Hayley Matthews from the West Indies, Jake Fraser-McGurk, and Josh Brown will don the Tangerine logo on their playing attire.

Tangerine founder and CEO Andrew Branson expressed his excitement about the partnership, calling it a “perfect fit” for the company. He emphasized how cricket is a significant part of Australian summers, connecting families and friends and aligning with Tangerine’s goal of connecting Australians to the things they love.

Melbourne Renegades general manager James Rosengarten also shared his enthusiasm for welcoming Tangerine as a WBBL and BBL Platinum Partner. He highlighted the shared values of the two organizations in providing excellent customer experiences and serving up entertaining content.

Renegades head coach Cameron White added that both the team and Tangerine share a focus on performance, speed, and reliability, making this partnership a strategic and exciting opportunity for both parties.
